  • Student Success Internship (SSI) Program
    • Interested in research with Writing Studies faculty? Join the Student Success Internship Program. Past interns have worked on faculty-led research projects that looked at subjects such as education/pedagogy, communications planning, creative writing and AI, and translingual theory. Students have learned to gather data from surveys, written documents, and interviews as well as presented at conferences alongside faculty.

 

  • The Global Mentoring Initiative (GMI):
    • UC Merced has partnered with GMI to offer free, career-readiness mentoring for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent alumni. You will be matched with mentors from leading companies such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Orange. The program focuses on building confidence and developing transferable skills. The resources remain available to you even after graduation.
